The Torbay Inn is the oldest pub in Paignton dating from the early 1600's. It is documented that general Fairfax, one of Cromwells officers stayed a night at the Torbay Inn prior to a civil war battle at Exeter. The Torbay Inn no longer offers accommodation but still upholds traditional values of a friendly welcome and a selection of fine ales.
